I’m Dr. Denice Buxton, a Training & Development Consultant, Instructional Designer, and PMP-certified learning professional with experience creating eLearning, instructor-led training, virtual training, job aids, presentations, scripts, storyboards, onboarding programs, and digital learning resources across education, healthcare, banking, government, technology, and business environments.
How I Work
My approach to instructional design is AI-enhanced, performance-driven, and focused on practical workplace outcomes. I begin with the business need and performance gap, not simply the request to create training. This helps ensure that the learning solution is aligned with what people need to do, how they need to perform, and what the organization needs to achieve.

I created the model above to reflect how I think through learning design: diagnose the need, define clear goals, design the learning experience, develop and deliver the solution, and measure results for continuous improvement. AI may support parts of the process, such as content planning, storyboarding, scenario development, script drafting, voiceover preparation, and analysis, but human judgment guides the strategy, accuracy, clarity, and quality of the final learning experience.
